Environmental protection is defined as “protection of all elements of the environment from harmful effects of human activity and preserving their natural character by rational and compatible with the laws of nature and social development shaping of man’s environment in such a way that elements of nature are joined together harmoniously with products of technology and civilisation. As a renowned distributor of farm protection produce we attach great importance to environmental protection and do what we can to ensure it.

Health food is necessary for proper psychophysical development of people and consumption of a large amount of fruit and vegetables forms the basis of almost every diet. The European Union attaches special importance to promoting health food that is why Polish products have become so popular. Our advantage is the production of “health food”; we are a major producer of this type of food and can compete successfully on European and world market. Thanks to excellent crops and modern techniques of sowing, crop protection and fertilising Poland can ensure good access to her fruit and vegetables. One of the conditions necessary for obtaining large crops is applying farm protection produce and fertilizers which support the growth and development of plants. Lack of appropriate application of farm protection produce may cause the infection of plants by extremely harmful organisms, thereby reducing the nutritional value of crops.

Farm protection produce are chemical substances which have a biological effect and are used to protect plants; they can kill harmful organisms (pesticides) or scare off vermin (repellents). Using farm protection produce makes it possible to keep crops in good condition. Farm protection produce can be used in agricultural and garden production safely since they belong to those chemical preparations which have been most thoroughly tested and which are regulated by the biggest amount of legal acts in the united Europe. PROGRESS-CHEM is a member of Polskie Stowarzyszenie Ochrony Roślin (Polish Association for Protection of Plants) and participates in meetings and undertakings aimed at protection of our natural environment. The Company is involved in Packaging Collection System whose objective is to collect packaging of farm protection produce in order to protect our environment from harmful effect of toxic waste. In accordance with the association’s provisions we collect packaging of farm protection produce which is toxic or very toxic to bees, aquatic biota and people on the basis of a required licence to collect hazardous waste reported to PSOR and the local authorities.
